X Men - First Class

I never read the comics so Im not THE person to talk to about x men. I like the movies for their sci fi environment and coolness.
In this one I liked the begining approach. The starting of something that you already know is gonna be big is appealing and it intrigues more somehow.
The story: Charles Xavier a young proffesor, starts to form a sanctuary and a school for "ordinary" people with special abilities. With the help of his new best friend Erik (Magneto), he launches a battle against a powerfull mutant who tries to destroy the world.
Although none of the original cast stared in the movie it has lost none of its potency. Maybe people like it even more inspite of that. It already has a rating of 8.0 on the web.
My rating 4.6/5

The Lincoln Lawyer

Matthew McConaughey plays a sleazy defense attorney Mick Haller. He never loses and never feels gulty about a case until a client involves him in a murder. An excellent crime-drama in which we get the best McConaughey has to offer. I never liked him as an actor and I always casted him aside because of his stupid roles in chick flicks, but I remembered the other day that he played a leading role in U571, a war movie from 2000 and he was great.
The Lincoln Lawyer puts him back on the first line of good career picks.
Other stars in the movie include Marisa Tomei (George Costanzas favourite) and Ryan Phillippe who did good as a psycho killer. I would recomend Lincoln Lawyer to anyone who like to get involved in the story.

Faster

Another kick ass The Rock movie with... The Rock!
A guy (Dwayne Johnson) gets out of jail and decides to take his revenge to all the people who were involved in his brothers killing. Its a rampage and a bloodbath. A pussy hitman gets in the crossfire with Dwayne to spicen up the things a little bit but he s no match for an angry big vengekiller. A detective (Billy Bob Thornton) gets to investigate whats left behind Dwayne but also with a twist. I like this tipe of no compromise, kill all, blow stuff up badass movies and Dwayne delivers just that.
If he had just blown away the "I found Jesus" black priest. It would be so much cooler!!!
I give it 4.0/5

Source Code

A new hit movie about a secret US military project involving time travel, multiple universes, changing destinies and all bunch of other stuff all in one.
Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) a soldier stationed in Afganistan wakes up in a train realizing he asumed the identity of someone called Sean. His appearance has also changed and a girl that talks to him, Christina (Michelle Monaghan) also refers to him as Sean. In 8 minutes the train explodes and Colter finds himself in a strange pod talking through an audio link with some woman called Goodwin. She explains through a series of tries that his mission is to return to the train over and over (through his consciousness) and to find the bomb and the bomber.
The movie is thrilling and exciting. It has a few weaknesses but nothing for an ordinary viewer to be concerned about. My biggest fear was with Jake and his weak acting. I didnt want another Prince of Persia crap but he did ok and believable.
Just because of sci-fi stuff I give it 4.0/5

The Leap Year

A movie my girlfriend made me watch.
The lead actress (Amy Adams) goes to Irelad to propose to her boyfriend. On the way she has a lot of obstacles but a local guy who owns a b&b (and is a perfect gentelmen) helps her to find her way in a foreign land. When she returns to Usa with her fiancee she realizes that the misterious Irish bloke (Declan) stole her heart. She returns to Ireland and proposes to him and they live hapilly ever after. Juck! :)
The Irish scenery is stunning and the rural countryside is worth the trip on an off the movie screen.
Acording to my girlfriend the movie is 5/5!
